THE RFC MYC: Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC)-(NCAA Division III)

Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC)-(NCAA Division III)

Overview: The Greenville University (Illinois) Panthers surprised the small college football world last fall by capturing the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) championship. The Panthers bounced back from a 1-3 spring season to finish their fall campaign undefeated in the UMAC at 6-0, while also finishing the regular season at 8-2 overall. Greenville's season ended in the first round of the NCAA Division III playoffs with a 69-7 loss to Wisconsin-Whitewater. The Panthers finished their fall 2021 campaign at 8-3 overall after falling to UWW.

One team to watch in the UMAC as the 2022 season approaches will be the Martin Luther College Knights. Despite struggling to a 1-4 start to their 2021 fall season, the Knights finished strong, with MLC winning four straight games to finish at 5-1 in the UMAC, and 5-4 overall. That was good enough for the Knights to finish second in the conference.

Don't be surprised if either Greenville or Martin Luther end up doing battle with each other for the UMAC crown this fall.
