This week's installment of "RFC Throwback Thursday" takes a look at some of the greatest moments in the history of the James Madison University football program. Although it has only been in existence for more than 50 years, JMU has risen to prominence as a premier program in the "non-autonomous/non-autonomy/non-major conference/non-power conference" level of college football. The videos listed above show the former FCS now FBS program's humble beginnings during the early-to-mid 1970s, the Duke's unlikely upset win over the Virginia Cavaliers in 1982, as well as the 2004 (NCAA Division I-AA) national championship, the 2010 upset win at Virginia, their other national championship at the end of the 2016 season, and their most recent win, in which JMU rallied from a 25-point deficit to defeat Appalachian State in 2022. As always, just simply sit back and enjoy another great moment in "non-power conference" college football history.
