THE RFC MYC: American Rivers Conference (ARC)-(NCAA Division III)

Overview: After a limited, not-so-normal, spring season of 2020-2021 that was tremendously cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the American Rivers Conference (ARC) enjoyed a normal fall season in 2021, with the Central College Dutch winning their 28th conference championship of all-time last year. The Dutch finished the regular season undefeated at 10-0 overall, and 7-0 in the ARC as well.

In the NCAA Division III playoffs, Central crushed Bethel (Minn.) 61-35 in the first round, then pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in postseason history, as the Dutch defeated Wheaton 30-28 with a touchdown on the game's final play. Central's season finally came to a close in the quarterfinal round on December 4, with Wisconsin-Whitewater cruising to a convincing 51-21 win. With the loss to UWW, the Dutch finished their 2021 fall season at 12-1 overall. Central outscored its opponents 702-267 during the season, scoring an average of 54 points per game.

As yet another season approaches, expect Central to win it all again in the ARC this fall. But waiting in the wings looking to stop the Dutch are the likes of Wartburg (7-3, 6-2), Coe (8-2, 6-2), and Dubuque (6-4, 5-3).
