THE RFC MYC: Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC)-(NCAA Division II)

Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC)-(NCAA Division II)

Overview: The Colorado School of Mines Orediggers were one of only two teams in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) to win at least 10 games in 2019, with the Colorado State University-Pueblo Thunderwolves being the other. The Orediggers cruised to an undefeated regular season at 11-0 in winning the RMAC title, only to be upset by Texas A&M-Commerce in the second round of the NCAA Division II playoffs to finish their season at 12-1 overall. As for the Thunderwolves, they pitched a shutout over Augustana (S.D.) 17-0 in the first round, before falling to Minnesota State-Mankato in the second round to end their season at 11-2 overall.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the RMAC chose not to crown an official champion for the shortened 2020-21 season, with just five teams choosing to take the field during the fall/ spring. Chadron State and Colorado Mesa finished 2-1 overall, followed by South Dakota Mines at 2-2, Black Hills State at 0-2, and Western Colorado at 0-1.

With the traditional fall season of 2021 just around the corner, the Colorado School of Mines once again will be the team to beat in the RMAC, with CSU-Pueblo not far behind.
