New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC)-(NCAA Division III)
Overview: The Middlebury College Panthers from Vermont ran the table in 2019, finishing the regular season undefeated at 9-0 to win the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) championship. The Panthers won six of their nine games by seven points or less in claiming last year's NESCAC crown.
With Amherst, Bowdoin, Trinity (Conn.) and Williams choosing to cancel their fall sports seasons-football season included-due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 NESCAC season as a whole has basically been canceled as well. In the unlikely event that the six other NESCAC squads choose to take the field this fall, those teams will likely play a minimum of five games.
