Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC)-(NCAA Division III)
Overview: The Husson University Eagles (8-3 overall) finished unbeaten at 6-0 to win their third straight Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) championship, losing to RPI 38-14 in the first round of the NCAA Division III playoffs. The only other ECFC team to advance to postseason play in 2018 was Maritime (N.Y.)-(7-4). The Privateers season ended in defeat as well, falling to Springfield 17-14 in the New England Bowl Series.
The ECFC's membership will be reduced to six teams, as Husson leaves to join the Commonwealth Coast Conference this fall. The loss of the Eagles to the CCC could very well make the Privateers the favorite to win the ECFC in 2019.
