THE RFC MYC: Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC)-(NCAA Division II)

Overview: Despite winning yet another Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) title, the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers found themselves staying at home for the postseason, as they finished 9-2 in 2017. While the Golden Tigers were the lone unbeaten team (6-0) in SIAC play, the Benedict Tigers (7-2 overall) were the only other team in the league to win at least seven games overall last fall. Fort Valley State won the East Division crown at 5-1 despite finishing the regular season at 5-5, while archrival Albany State (Ga.) finished the 2017 season at 6-4 under rookie head coach Gabe Giardina. In the SIAC title game, Tuskegee outlasted Fort Valley State, 13-6.

With another new season just around the corner, while Tuskegee should be favored to take yet another SIAC crown, don't be surprised if teams such as Miles, Fort Valley State, Benedict, and even Albany State find themselves in the conference championship conversation.
