THE RFC MYC: Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC)-(NCAA Division III)

2017 Presidents Athletic Conference Final Standings (Courtesy of the Presidents Athletic Conference)

Overview: In one of the rarest of feats in all of college football, the Presidents Athletic Conference crowned two undefeated co-champions for 2017. Both the Case Western Reserve Spartans and the Washington and Jefferson Presidents finished PAC play unbeaten at 8-0 en route to an undefeated regular season record at 10-0. The two teams didn't play each other last season.

Both CWRU and W&J advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs, with the Spartans losing to eventual national champion Mount Union, while the Presidents fell to Frostburg State.

The 2018 season will bring about multiple changes, with longtime PAC member Thomas More (6-4 in 2017) choosing to withdraw from the NCAA to join the NAIA when their current probation period runs out at the end of the 2018-2019 academic year. Thanks to Thomas More's imminent departure from the NCAA, the PAC will play a full round-robin conference schedule of nine games this fall. Oh, and for those fans who want to mark their calendars, W&J will play host to CWRU on October 6, in a game that could decide the conference championship outright.
