THE RFC MYC: Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC)-(NCAA Division III)

Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC)-(NCAA Division III)

Overview: The Framingham State University Rams won their fourth straight Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) championship, as well as their eighth-straight conference championship overall dating back to 2013, as they finished unbeaten in league play at 8-0 after starting the season at 8-2. But just like in previous seasons, the Rams' run in postseason play came to a screeching halt in the first round of the NCAA Division III playoffs, as they fell to Muhlenberg to finish their season at 8-3 overall.

While yet another season ended prematurely for Framingham State, the team that finished second in the MASCAC last fall finished their 2021 season on a winning note, as the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth (UMass-Dartmouth) Corsairs closed out their campaign with a 42-16 win over Alfred State in the ECAC New England Bowl series on November 20. The Corsairs closed out their season with six straight wins to finish at 9-2 overall and 6-2 in MASCAC action.

As far as what the 2022 season might hold in store for the MASCAC, Framingham State will be the favorite to win yet another conference crown, with UMass-Dartmouth not far behind.
