In the second installment of a three-part series leading to this weekend's small college (NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and the NAIA) national championship games, "RFC Throwback Thursday" turns the clock back to 1987. That was when the University of Dayton Flyers squared off against the Wagner University Seahawks in the Stagg Bowl for the NCAA Division III national championship. In 1993, both programs found their way to what is now the FCS level, with Dayton joining the Pioneer Football League, while Wagner eventually joined the Northeast Conference.
