Installment #2 in 2022 of "RFC Throwback Thursday" turns the clock back to 1976. That was when the then University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana [Lafayette]) Ragin' Cajuns finished that season with an overall record of 7-4, as well as 4-1 in Southland Conference action. The overall turnaround from a two-win 1974 season came despite having two of their nine overall wins eventually being forfeited due to the use of two ineligible players at the time.
