Our "12 Days of Bowl Games" series turns the clock back to Christmas Day, December 25, 1996. That was when the Navy Midshipmen did battle with the California Golden Bears in the now-defunct Aloha Bowl. The Midshipmen rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit to defeat the Golden Bears, 42-38. With the win, Navy finished the 1996 season at 9-3 overall.
