This week's installment of "RFC Throwback Thursday" turns the clock back to 1984. That was when the then-defending NCAA Division II national champion North Dakota State University Bison traveled down the road to Grand Forks, N.D. to do battle with the University of North Dakota. NDSU outlasted UND 14-3 on a late October day that was filled with freezing rain, sleet, and snow, among other conditions. The Bison eventually fell to Troy State (now Troy University) in the D-II national championship game on December 8. North Dakota State finished the 1984 season at 11-2 overall.
