This week's installment of "RFC Throwback Thursday" turns the clock back to September 20, 2008. That was when the then No. 25 Fresno State University Bulldogs traveled to Toledo, Ohio to take the University of Toledo Rockets in what turned out to be one of the greatest college football games of all time. The Bulldogs edged the Rockets 55-54 in double overtime en route to a final record of 7-6 overall, losing to Colorado State in the New Mexico Bowl three months later, on December 20. As for Toledo, the Rockets struggled to a disappointing 3-9 season after losing the high-scoring heartbreaker to Fresno State.
