Mountain West Conference (FBS Group Of Five)
Overview: With six of its seven bowl-eligible teams playing in bowl games in 2018, finishing 3-2 in such contests (Boise State's clash with Boston College at the ServPro First Responder Bowl being declared a no contest due to lightning), the Mountain West Conference is looking to have a strong showing from top to bottom in 2019. Notable non-conference games for the MW include Boise State vs. Florida State in Jacksonville, Fla. on August 31, followed by their home opener vs. Marshall less than a week later, as well as Utah State hitting the road to face 2018 bowl game winners in Wake Forest (Birmingham Bowl) on August 30 and LSU (Fiesta Bowl) on October 5.
As for top conference games, Utah State will do battle with Fresno State on November 9, while Boise State will make the trip to Logan, Utah two weeks later on November 23. Both games could go a long way towards deciding an eventual Mountain West Conference champion. Wyoming, San Diego State, Nevada, and even Hawai'i can play a big role in the MW championship conversation if things break in their favor.
