THE RFC MYC: Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC)-(NAIA)

Overview: The Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) will take to the football field for the first time ever this fall. The NAIA version of the SAC replaces the now-defunct Central States Football League, which ceased operations after the 2017 season. 

The newly-formed SAC will have nine members, with four schools coming from Texas: Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU), Texas College, Texas Wesleyan University, and Wayland Baptist University.

In addition to the four schools from the Lone Star State, four other schools from three different states will make up the rest of the SAC in Arizona Christian and Ottawa Universities from Arizona, Lyon College from Arkansas, and Langston University from Oklahoma. The SAC will be one of just eight conferences to sponsor NAIA football in 2018.
