The "RFC Postseason's Greetings" series continues by turning the clock back to Christmas Eve, December 24, 2014. That was when the Rice Owls faced the Fresno State Bulldogs in the Hawaii Bowl. The Owls beat the Bulldogs 30-6 to finish their 2014 season at 8-5 overall. It would be the last bowl appearance for the Rice program until the end of the 2022 season, when the Owls fell to Southern Mississippi in the Lending Tree (now 68 Ventures) Bowl 38-24.
