This week's installment of "RFC Throwback Thursday" focuses on the annual "Border War" rivalry between the Colorado State University Rams and the University of Wyoming Cowboys. The video talks about how the "Bronze Boot" became the official trophy that was given to the winner of this annual contest between the current members of the Mountain West Conference, which dates all the way back to 1899. Although the Cowboys outlasted the Rams 31-17 in the most recent meeting on November 6, 2021, Colorado State still leads the all-time series over Wyoming 59-49-5.

This was back when both institutions belonged to the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) during that league's days in what is now the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). The Rams downed the Cowboys 35-24 on November 5 en route to winning the WAC title but lost to Michigan in the Holiday Bowl to finish the season at 10-2 overall.
