This week's installment of "RFC Throwback Thursday" turns the clock back to Saturday, September 11, 1993 (yes, long before 9/11). That was when the Miami University football team played host to the then University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana-Lafayette) Ragin' Cajuns in an early-season non-conference contest. In a close contest, Miami (Ohio) outlasted USL 29-28. While the Ragin' Cajuns would go on to finish the 1993 season at 5-1 in Big West Conference action, as well as a share of the conference championship with Utah State, Miami struggled to a disappointing 4-7 overall record, finishing near the bottom of the Mid-American Conference at 3-6 in MAC action.
