Our "12 Days of Bowl Games" series concludes with a look back at the Peach Bowl from New Year's Day, January 1, 1992. That year's contest pitted the East Carolina University Pirates against the North Carolina State University Wolfpack from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).

In a game that featured one tie and four lead changes, the Pirates rallied from a 34-17 deficit in the final minutes to defeat the Wolfpack 37-34. East Carolina finished the 1991 season with an 11-1 overall record with the win over N.C. State. The 1992 contest also turned out to be the last football game ever played at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, with the Peach Bowl moving to the now-demolished Georgia Dome in time for the first game to be played on January 2, 1993.
