As hard as it might be to believe, long before there was a Division II or III, the NCAA had a College Division for small college programs way back when. Prior to 1973, not only did the wire service polls decide the small college national champion for each season, but there were also four regional bowls that were played at the end of each season.
In the conclusion of a two-part series on this week's installment of "RFC Throwback Thursday", we take a look back at the Boardwalk Bowl, where now FCS Delaware faced off against now NCAA Division II Indiana (Pa.) in a tight game at the Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey on December 14, 1968. So sit back and relive the memories of one of small college football's greatest from 50 years ago.
