Overview: A tight race for the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) crown resulted in the Tabor College Blue Jays (8-3 overall) taking home top honors for the 2016 campaign, finishing league action at 8-1. As for Kansas Wesleyan, the Coyotes found themselves on the outside looking in for postseason play despite finishing 9-2 overall and 7-2 in KCAC play. A season-ending upset loss to Saint Mary cost the Coyotes a chance to advance to the NAIA playoffs.
Speaking of the NAIA playoffs, Tabor saw its postseason run end in the first round, as Morningside cruised to a convincing 65-17 win. Otherwise, expect yet another close race for the KCAC championship in 2017.
