2016 Final Standings-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW)

Overview: The North Central College Cardinals (11-1 overall) and Wheaton Thunder (11-2 overall) met twice in 2016, with the Cardinals outlasting the Thunder in their regular season meeting, 35-25, to win the Little Brass Bell on October 15, only to have Wheaton avenge that lone regular season loss in the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs, with the Thunder handing the Cardinals their lone loss of the campaign with a 31-14 upset win on the road. Wheaton's season ended in the quarterfinals the following week with a 38-16 loss to eventual national champion Mary Hardin-Baylor.
