Northwest Conference (NWC)-(NCAA Division III)

Overview: The Linfield University Wildcats from McMinnville, Oregon once again dominated the Northwest Conference (NWC) en route to another conference championship, finishing league play at 7-0, as well as undefeated in regular season action at 9-0 overall.

In the NCAA Division III playoffs, the Wildcats rolled past Pomona-Pitzer in the first round, only to be ousted by Bethel (Minn.) in the second round to see their season end at 10-1 overall.

As this article was being posted, all but two teams in the NWC started their 2023 seasons on September 2, with Willamette and Puget Sound posting opening week wins, while George Fox, Pacific Lutheran, and Pacific Lutheran all lost their openers, and Pacific's game vs. Chapman was canceled due to a lengthy weather delay. 

Still, expect Linfield to take home another NWC championship this fall, with the Wildcats receiving 49 total points, as well as seven points, while George Fox, Whitworth, and Pacific Lutheran all finished second, third, and fourth in the coaches preseason poll.
