2016 Final Standings- USA South Athletic Conference (USAC)
Overview: The Huntingdon University Hawks held off the Maryville College (Tenn.) Scots in a thrilling 28-24 to win their second straight USA South Athletic Conference (USAC) championship in 2016. They lost to Wheaton in the first round of the NCAA Division III playoffs, 45-10. As for the Scots, they had to settle for a share of the USAC crown with a 6-1 mark in league action, while finding themselves on the outside looking in when postseason play rolled around last November.
Looking ahead to 2017, the Brevard College Tornados from North Carolina join the USAC and D-III ranks from the South Atlantic Conference and NCAA Division II, while Ferrum will leave for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) in 2018.
