This week's installment of "RFC Throwback Thursday" features the then-South Carolina State College-now University-football team from 1973. After a slow start, the Bulldogs from Orangeburg, South Carolina won seven straight games to finish the regular season at 7-2-1. S.C. State finished the season at 7-3-1 season after losing to Florida A&M in the Orange Blossom Classic on December 8.
The first video listed above is the film documentary of the 1973 South Carolina State squad and its' story, while the second video found below features the 50th anniversary banquet for the team from 2023, which was led by then-first year head coach Willie Jeffries.
