Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC)-(NCAA Division III)
Overview: The University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth Corsairs from Dartmouth, Massachusetts made history in 2022, as they won their first-ever Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) championship. It was the Corsairs first conference championship in football since 2002. That was when UMD won the now-defunct New England Football Conference (NEFC) championship in finishing the season at 11-1 overall.
UMass-Dartmouth finished undefeated in MASCAC action at 8-0 en route to a final overall record of 9-2, scoring at least 20 points in all 11 games, while outscoring their opponents by a combined final score of 443-251. The Corsairs season came to a close in the first round of the NCAA Division III playoffs on November 19, falling to Ithaca, 63-20.
UMD will enter the 2023 season not only looking to win back-to-back MASCAC crowns, but also hope to fend off challenges from Plymouth State (8-2, 6-2) and Western Connecticut State (7-3, 6-2) along the way.
