The final post of "RFC Throwback Thursday" for the 2025-2026 season takes a brief look back at the 1966 season for the Morgan State University Bears football team.
After finishing the regular season undefeated at 8-0, the Bears from Baltimore beat the West Chester University Golden Rams 14-6 to win the Tangerine Bowl (now the Citrus Bowl) on December 10, 1966. Morgan State finished the 1966 season with an undefeated record of 9-0. To this day, Morgan State remains the lone HBCU program to win a major bowl game.
