College Football 2025-2026: The Final Wrap-Up

Starting with the FCS National Championship Game on Monday, January 5, 2026, the #2 Montana State University Bobcats won their first national championship after edging the Illinois State University Redbirds. It was the Bobcats' second-ever title at the NCAA Division I level after winning the then-NCAA Division I-AA title in 1984.


Montana State finished the 2025-2026 season at 14-2 overall with the win, while Illinois State's season ended at 12-5.

RFC Throwback Thursday: Morgan State Football-1966

The final post of "RFC Throwback Thursday" for the 2025-2026 season takes a brief look back at the 1966 season for the Morgan State University Bears football team


After finishing the regular season undefeated at 8-0, the Bears from Baltimore beat the West Chester University Golden Rams 14-6 to win the Tangerine Bowl (now the Citrus Bowl) on December 10, 1966. Morgan State finished the 1966 season with an undefeated record of 9-0. To this day, Morgan State remains the lone HBCU program to win a major bowl game.
