This week's installment of RFC Throwback Thursday turns the clock back to December 21, 1985. That was when the Georgia Southern University Eagles faced the Furman University Paladins in their first-ever NCAA Division I-AA (now FCS) national championship game appearance. In a high-scoring close contest, the Eagles edged the Paladins 44-42 for their first of their six national championships, all coming at the Division I-AA (FCS) level.
