This week's installment of "RFC Throwback Thursday" turns the clock back to Saturday, October 3,1981. That was when ABC Sports aired multiple televised games on a regional basis, including Navy at Yale, and Arkansas State at Kansas. ABC also had the Southeast Missouri State at (Southwest) Missouri State game, as well as San Jose State at Fresno State contest as part of its' regional broadcast line-up on this aforementioned date.
The first two videos feature brief clips from the Navy-Yale game, followed by a full broadcast of the Arkansas State-Kansas contest. Additionally, there's a fourth video includes another brief clip from the University of Minnesota-Duluth's 1981 season, while the fifth and final clip features highlights of the St. John's-St. Cloud State game in Minnesota from that campaign. Sadly, St. Cloud State would drop its' football program at the end of the 2019 season.
