Starting with the FCS National Championship Game on Sunday, January 8, 2023, with the South Dakota State University Jackrabbits winning their first-ever national championship while denying their longtime archrivals in the North Dakota State University Bison, their 10th title in 12 years. SDSU cruised to a convincing 45-21 win over NDSU. It was the first-ever loss in the Bison's 10 national championship game appearances.
