Quick Analysis: The Sam Houston State University Bearkats overcame a sluggish start to the 2014 season to not only win a share of the Southland Conference, but also make an improbable run to the FCS national semifinals, where they fell to eventual national champion North Dakota State. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that they enter the 2015 season as the team to beat, according to the coaches and sports information directors. Still, the Bearkats won't be able to sneak up on anyone this fall.
