In this classic clash from 40 years ago, the Wabash College Little Giants clashed against the DePauw University Tigers in the "Battle for the Monon Bell", also known as the "Oldest Uninterrupted Rivalry West of the Alleghenies". This Saturday marks the 124th edition of the battle between the two NCAA Division III teams from Indiana.

RFC Throwback Thursday Part 3: The Game-Hampden Sydney vs. Randolph Macon from 1984

In yet another installment of RFC Throwback Thursday promoting "Rivalry Weekend" at the NCAA Division III level, Randolph Macon squares off against Hampden Sydney in this clash for the 1984 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship. The 122nd edition of "The Game", which is oldest small college rivalry in the southeastern United States, takes place in Ashland, Virginia this weekend.

RFC Throwback Thursday Part 2: The Biggest Little Game In America-Amherst vs. Williams from 1997

In the second installment of the "Biggest Little Game in America" segment, RFC Throwback Thursday turns the clock back to 1997, with Williams College knocking off then previously undefeated Amherst College in what was considered one of the greatest games ever played in the rivalry between the two NCAA Division III schools from New England.

With the final weekend of the 2017 regular season fast approaching, RFC Throwback Thursday turns the clock back to 2012, as Amherst took on Williams in the "Biggest Little Game in America". It's the oldest rivalry in all of NCAA Division III football, with a history that dates back to 1884. This year's meeting will mark the 132nd all-time meeting between the two small Massachusetts institutions.

RFC Throwback Thursday: Youngstown State vs. Boise State in the 1994 NCAA Division I-AA National Championship Game

This week's edition of "RFC Throwback Thursday" takes us back to 1994, when then-defending national champion Youngstown State did battle with soon-to-be NCAA Division I-A (now FBS) member Boise State in what was then known as the NCAA Division I-AA (now FCS) national championship game. This was, of course, before the Broncos became a perennial FBS Group of Five powerhouse program, while the Penguins were just beginning to establish themselves as one of the elite programs at the I-AA/FCS level. So, sit back and enjoy this classic look back at championship football at its finest!
